Now Map one customer to Multiple sales team members & Partners

We have made a major improvement in terms of how customers, routes & distributors are configured in BeatRoute. This change has been introduced as a part of product roadmap with the purpose of fostering better collaboration between sales & marketing team working on the same customer, companies introducing category level sales team to better product range sold at an outlet. 





The association works the following way presently -> 

                                 
Customer ->One Route -> Distributor/Partner -> Sales Team 

The change we are introducing allows one customer to be mapped to one route so that more than 1 sales team member as well as partner can be mapped corresponding to all the routes mapped. A single route will continue to be mapped with a single partner & sales team member.

                                 
Customer ->Multiple Routes -> Distributor/Partner -> Sales Team 



This is how network setup looks like now - 

Create Customers -> This will continue to function the same way, In terms of upload we advise you to use this just to upload customer specific information. In case there are some changes in terms of customer-route mapping, we have added one more file which can just be used to make edits & reupload.

Create Distributors -> This will work the same way as present. There is no change to this menu option

Create Routes -> Use this window to create routes. This will be on the sales team level, if there are 3 team members serving a common set of customers and they have 6 routes each based on a weekly frequency. Then in the system 18 routes need to be created to create individual mapping.

Create Customer-Route Mapping -> We have introduced this new upload where mapping can be created between customer & routes. Use this to create or edit customer-route mapping. If a customer is present on more than 1 route then simply add rows in upload. Existing mapping can be downloaded from customers menu (Where we download customers & associate customers presently)


Upload-Download Changes -

There are changes in terms of upload & download to assign order & dispatches to a particular sales team member as there will be more than one person serving a customer now.

Changes in SFA -


(i) Workflow execution - 
If there are more than one distributor attached to one customer through different routes, the sales team will have an option of selecting the distributor for any workflow that they want to do on a customer. When collecting orders, the first Sales team will select a distributor against whom order is being taken. Distributor from whom the last supply was done will be selected as a default one with an option to change.

 



(ii)Customer Creation - If a sales team is trying to create a customer, and a mobile no already exists meaning that customer is already added in the system by some other team. In this case the sales team will get an option to add that customer to one of his routes as well.
